As above so below

Since opening in 2015, TūRongo Collective has been a holistic indigenous service. Specifically assisting others in finding themselves by providing an honest safe space to understand their difficulties and accomplishments. A learn by doing, learn by experiencing and learn by conscious choices, we, TūRongo Collective invite you to be brave, whole and honest with us but most of all WELCOME.

WHATS ON

Book your spot to take part in our workshops, classes, seminars and wananga. Please be aware that different workshops will have different cost exchanges. If you have any questions please feel free to email us.

DISCLAIMER

Our sharings are not for free and we advise that if this is something you are searching for then this is not the place for you.

Quite often we meet in Western spaces the expectation that Indigenous sacred teachings should be free...this is how theft and destruction has happened to our peoples

Should the learnings be expected to be free please note that to not charge for our sharings, teachings and coaching would ultimately stand on every single person we come with and have learnt, studied and trained under.

This would completely disrespect the years upon years of commitment, trainings and devotion to this lifestyle. We do not intend to embarrass and stand on our ancestry, teachers, martial arts coaches, life coaches, mentors and qualifications by further not holding them with value.

Our lands have already been sold for blankets. We advise that you look towards your privilege should you feel this....This is colonisation in active mode.

Scholarships and payment plans are also available

TAPU TANE

A space to develop relationships between masculine energies

Conversations and developing how we communicate is something that is not often encouraged in our male encounters and as children we learn from our role models NOT to engage in conversation. But it is the cause for so much damage when we are taught that our communication capacities are not valued or valid. This time will be spent developing healthy masculine relationships between, fathers and sons, brother to brother, cousin to cousin and finally male to female relationships.

Our intention is to nurture and develop mindful relationships between male energies in ways that allow us to be more free and unrestricted from the projections of our day to day lives.

This wananga is by no means a way to fix peoples lives but more an opportunity to find yourself.

Mentoring Services

TūRongo Collective has earned its positive reputation due to the way in which each individual has been affected by the experiences they have encountered. With a specific focus on Rangatahi(youth) TūRongo C has been highlighted as a collective that delivers experiences that are reflected in the relationships between each other and therefore are easily mirrored onto the youth.

Participants will experience the following

Horse Riding | Martial Arts | Maori Weaponry | Herbal Medicine | Performance | Stunts | Maori and Pasifika dance | Diving, Kai Preservation | Hiking | Mountain Climbing | Community service support

Mana Vaine

This mentoring service is specifically designed to support the rise of our young Vaine. Our women can often be silenced from being allowed to experience sacred learnings but encouraged to be more masculine then necessary. This service highlights the need for BOTH and encourages our Rangatahi to be brave to the new experiences.

Expressions of Interest

Request to take part

We are travelling organisation that can connect to you and your team/organisation online or in person. Feel free to message us to get in touch with us about having us hold workshops, wananga, healing seminars or training for environments needing indigenous facilitation

*Please note programme fees and wananga fees vary, and are based on participation and risk assessment (juvenile detention).

Our organisation stand by paying our indigenous people their years of training, studies, experiences, time, investment, qualifications and value.

As indigenous knowledge is the most valued and ancient forms of teachings, we uphold the values and therefore request that you please remember that our time given in our organisation is not for free. In times of old we would give taonga, gifts that serve and represent the appreciation of our sharing.  Please do not assume because we are indigenous you will get in for free  and expect our services to be free to you.
