"Kia hora te marino, Kia whakapapa pounamu te moana
Hei huarahi mā tātou i te rangi nei, Aroha atu, Aroha mai,
Tātou i a tātou katoa...hui e! Tāiki e!
May peace be widespread, may the sea be like greenstone,
A pathway for us all this day
Let us show respect for each other, for one another,
Bind us...all...together!

About the event
What couldn't be better than the treasures and histories within a Museum being brought to life?
Kia Maumahara is this time machine that allows audiences a moment to travel in time to a point in the lives of Māori.
From ancient origins all the way to the modern day context. How have Māori adapted and shifted, accepted and struggled through the rifel of the challenges that come their way.
With encriching beautiful harmonies that soar through the space, to the physical athleticism of the past, Kia Maumahara - A moment in Time has been described by audiences as "THRILLING" "Powerful and deeply moving" " The most powerful piece of theatre I have seen in 20 years and I work in professional theatre" "The calibre of the storytellers is remarkable and unlike any other theatre piece I've seen to date"
