TE WHĀNAU ĀIO
Te Whānau Āio is a native guardianship group that educate, remodulate and facilitate native frameworks for those looking for connection templates from Aotearoa. Rather than teaching them to be MĀORI, Te Whānau Āio invite guests, visitors and tourists to connect back to their own culture to remember their own teachings. It is a generous nudge of support to connect to ones own origins to acknowledge where we all come from.

Te Whānau Āio are the guardians of Māori cultural experiences at the Auckland Museum, representing 14 iwi from New Zealand. Our collective duty is to share our ancestors' stories to educate the world beyond common stereotypes.
Our group consists of professionals who are masters in their field. We have traveled globally as experts, judges, dancers, cultural educators, lecturers, professional singers, spiritual tutors, indigenous spokesmen, and language facilitators. We are not simply entertainers.
