Since opening in 2015, TūRongo Collective has been a holistic indigenous service.

Directed by husband and wife Milly (Miriwaitata)& Te Wehi Kore Karena Grant-Koria with the anchorage of their brother Puriri Te Areke Hapua Koria. Their intention in their work is the service of greater connection and honour to the cultural practices of ancestral blood. Guided by the 8 legs of Te Wheke, each leg connects to support all beings of indigenous ancestry.

Te Ao Tawhito, Te Ao Wairua, Te Ao Turoa, Te Ao Hou, Te Taiao, Te Whenua, Te Moana, Tangata Māori.

By connecting to this modality and being in service of this, the reach to assist others is endless. Over the years Turongo Collective have facilitated mental and emotional health services, indigenous mentoring services, therapy and spiritual healing with Milly, spiritual and cultural activation ceremonies as well as anchoring as guardians and protectors at New Zealand's Auckland War Memorial Museum with their native guardianship group TE WHĀNAU ĀIO.

TE KORE

To form infinite potential

By Karena and Milly Grant-Koria.

Our work is about teaching our children that life is about the service of truth to YOURSELF which is reflected in the world outside of you.

In 2015 Karena found that in his Martial Arts, Mau Rakau, Weaponry, Stunts, Performance teachings there was an alignment to the work his wife was doing within RAAH Medicinals previously known as Ritu Anima Alkemi Healing. Multiple occasions occurred where the couple would find themselves performing at the same gig not knowing they would be performing and teaching separately. Their eldest daughter in the pram backstage watching.

They realised as a couple they could do more as a family especially for their children. No matter the language or culture there are fundamentals that can be nourished wielded and grown from the back bone of Husband and Wife to Family, which extended out to the wider communities if the teaching that is shared and grown comes from the equal stance of this relationship of unity, of CONNECTION.

TūRongo Collective has been known for an unparalleled commitment to indigenous practices and teachings.

With a specialty in triggering the unknown, encouraging feeling uncomfortable, growing inner stamina and unlocking an honest stillness, the collective is well known for nurturing bravery within difference.

From youth justice mentoring services to workshops, to ritual activations, to training programs and wellness sessions, to relationship development and holistic spiritual healing we are committed to the wellness of supporting others.

Mentoring Services

TūRongo Collective has earned its positive reputation due to the way in which each individual has been affected by the experiences they have encountered. With a specific focus on Rangatahi(youth) TūRongo C has been highlighted as a collective that delivers experiences that are reflected in the relationships between each other and therefore are easily mirrored onto the youth.

Participants will experience the following

Horse Riding | Martial Arts | Maori Weaponry | Herbal Medicine | Performance | Stunts | Maori and Pasifika dance | Diving, Kai Preservation | Hiking | Mountain Climbing | Community service support

Mana Vaine

This mentoring service is specifically designed to support the rise of our young Vaine. Our women can often be silenced from being allowed to experience sacred learnings but encouraged to be more masculine then necessary. This service highlights the need for BOTH and encourages our Rangatahi to be brave to the new experiences.
